About Alma Lutheran Church
Located at 219 W. Fifth Street in Mead, Nebraska Alma Lutheran Church is a small rural congregation of about 220 members. With an average Sunday Worship attendance of about 65. Alma Lutheran serves the spiritual needs of those in Mead and the surrounding areas. Alma is a member of the ELCA.
Founded in 1870 Alma has continued to serve the people of the community through the good and the bad. A detailed history of Alma can be found here.
Alma is yolked in ministry with Edensburg Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malmo, NE to create M&M ministries.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion is offered every week at Alma. All are welcomed at the table. Alma, as a member of the ELCA, practices open communion. If you commune at your home congregation, you are encouraged to commune with us as well. We believe Christ is present for all believers wherever and whenever the Eucharist is celebrated.

Handicap parking is directly in front of the main door to the church. An elevator is available for those that need it. Please ask anyone and we will assist you!
